Classical symptoms:
1. Abdominal pain2. Anorexia, nausea, mild vomiting
a. first constant, diffuse, upper or central b. then localised right lower
Classical signs:
1. VITAL SIGNS NORMAL or mildly raised: pulse, blood pressure, temperature
2. Abdomen soft with LOCALISED right lower TENDERNESS3. BOWEL SOUNDS progressively reduced
a. Voluntary muscle GUARDING early b. REBOUND tenderness later Typical Laboratory tests:
1. White Blood Cell Count (WBC) >10,000
2. Neutrophils >75%
